hi guys caught this guy today but he died before i got home and i thought i lightly pressing the cloaca/whatever its called on a stingray just curious and this poped out not detached either

Do not try this with a living ray...There is lological reason for wanting to do this to an animal, and you could potentially cause damage / harm.

what do you mean logical . i would have thought it would be just like people sexing juvinile snakes .as i am a
licensed reptile keeper so i know some of the dangers involved .but could you explain more please

Typo....no logical reason...just thinking about it from the critters perspective..chances of causing damage. That, in itself, unless you have been trained on doing these things to rays, is enough to not want to do this....But, hey, its your choice, not mine :)

from what i have been reading theres no physicla way to sex rays .they look the same theres supposed to be know way of visibly sexing. one thing i did find though is that the ones i sexed had no clapers on ther on anal fins and they to me where males.ihavent done this to live rays and if i do will be looking into it more before attempting it
