Maybe fill the sump with steaming water? Killed a few aptasia I had a while back without killing a HH duster.

I'd say the final verdict is that the Aptasia X did get rid of a few, but it probably isn't as good as the Kalk paste method. It's also expensive. I like the applicator it comes with, it's working very well with the kalk paste.

I won't buy it again. It didn't bother any of the corals I have, but it didn't kill the Aptasia very well in the long run either.

Interesting thought....but that's a lot of hot water....20 gallons in this case. It would take a long time to boil that much water a couple gallons at a time. Also, one of the dividers in my sump is a wall for a small refugium and I don't want to heat that water up and kill all the critters in there.
